The Home of Bankstown Touch Football gets $100,000 for lighting

Federal Member for Blaxland Jason Clare joined Canterbury Bankstown Council Mayor Khal Asfour on Monday to announce $100,000 to upgrade lighting at the home of Bankstown Touch Football, Vale of Ah Reserve in Milperra.

“This is fantastic news for touch football in Bankstown. Vale of Ah is used all year round for touch football, and mainly used at night,” Mr Clare said.

“The ground has been using generators to keep the lights on. This upgrade will ensure the competitions can use Vale of Ah with permanent lighting.”

“The upgrade of lighting at Vale of Ah has been identified by the Council as an important project,” Mayor Khal Asfour said. “Touch Football in our local area will greatly benefit from this lighting upgrade.”

“We’re seeing participation in touch football in our local area grow every season and we need the lighting infrastructure to ensure our teams can play here at night,” Secretary of Bankstown Jets Touch Football Mette Kitiona said. “This announcement is welcomed by Bankstown Touch Football.”
