If HomeBuilder has delivered a “renovation rescue” for the residential construction industry, why is the Minister for Housing hiding the numbers about the schemes uptake?
Labor lodged questions to the Select Committee on COVID-19 almost a month ago and today the responses are officially two weeks late.
All we want to know is:
- How many applications for HomeBuilder have been made
- How many applications have been approved
- How many applicants have been paid out
The answers were due by COB Friday 18 September, and like so many of their announcements, the Morrison Government has failed to deliver.
What has the Minister got to hide? He has a lot of questions to answer. It’s just not smart to let questions keep stacking up.
The Minister for Housing should count the numbers and come clean on how many Australians have received the $25,000 grant.
